About LGBT youth - Health

LGBT youth are more likely than other young people to be victims of demeaning treatment, violence, and threats of violence. Therefore, as a group, LGBT-youth are of significantly poorer health than the general population. This is especially true regarding their mental health and their abuse of alcohol, drugs and tobacco.
